Request to have downstream target at 6db

My router is an old Thompson TG585 that struggles to hold onto a stable connection at 3db, so is it possible to have the target SNR raised to 6db please, even though I realise that this will mean a reduction in download speed.

TBH, if you could 9db then I wouldn't be bothered as I far prefer stability over speed as I get 6-7mb which is plenty fast enough for when I use it

Let us know how you get on at 6db, we can request it upped to 9db if you need.
