Still waiting for anyone at Plusnet to respond to my ticket, so hoping someone here might know what's going on. Been a customer for many years btw.
I'm suddenly getting pathetic download speeds from the likes of Dropbox, the Foxit web site and my own shared server which is based in Texas.
Using broadbandspeedchecker.co.uk I get a consistent 12Mbs down and 1.2Mbs up when testing via servers stated as being in London or the Netherlands, but I'm getting less than 100kbs doing transfers from the other sites both by ftp and http. It's been going on for days now and is a total pain.
Attached is a screen grab from testmy.net, which seems to imply this is an ongoing problem - note the log graph at the bottom of the screen.
I'm guessing that there are peering problems with Plusnet, based on my googling another long-term problem in that I simply cannot connect to a virgin.net mailbox via my plusnet connection when even my smartphone with a weak signal manages to do so without a problem.
Does anyone know when/if Plusnet are going to sort this out?
