Reduced broadband speeds since before Xmas

Hi

 

Web pages, especially video ones have become slow and stuttery and uploads very slow.

We first noticed this a while before Xmas.

However it's now continued.

My last speed test before the issues showed 17mbps download and 0.98 upload, now I am seeing 11 down and 0.60 up.

This is measured with a direct wired connection to the router.

Any suggestions please?

I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues with your speeds.

We've tested your line and we can't see any cause for this.

Can you connect to the test socket as explained here and then retest your speeds to see if they've improved?

Thanks, I did a router restart as well.

 

Todays tests are 17.8 down and 0.88 up which is much more like I was getting.

Upload is still low for my needs however.

I'm pleased the download is back to where it should be.

The upload is about the right speed for ADSL. Until a faster connection comes about in your area, these are the only upload speeds we can offer.
