i have a issue with speed at the moment that has been ongoing since friday of last week
I reported this on sunday and since then the speed has got worse
im getting 0.2 m speed - down from .45 yesterday
its getting progressively worse!!!
Usually my connection is very quick - at around 7meg
i ran a speed test on the bt website and the results are here

The ip profile confuses me, and i dont like the sound of it!
I have raised a question on this - the number is 34807858 its driving me insane, i cant do anything useful - downloading virus definitions is taking forever, and i cant browse the net while it do it!

my connection is pretty much unusable - for example im trying to download a 70meg file, its going to take 2 hours, and i cant browse the web while im doing ti, as its taking most of my bandwidth
waiting for someone to get back to me on the matter
hopefully it will be resolved soon!

the ip profile is still at 250kps 🙂

usually i use a cisco router, but while this is going on i have swapped over to a dodgy speed touch one (which i know is not faulty

It sounds like you have had a line fault, causing the static and knocking out your broadband.
As Chris says, it's imperative that the line fault is fixed first, then the 'fallout' from that can be fixed too.
It looks like your Target SNR has been increased to 15dB which has caused your sync to drop from 8128 down to it's current value. Again - once the fault is fixed on your line this can (usually) be reduced back down to 6dB to give you your full sync back.
Out of interest - can you try plugging your router into the *test socket* behind the BT master socket, and reposting yoru stats? Just need the sync, attenuation and noise margin.

the connection is currently in the engineers test socket! Also eve is unplayable due to the connection

the phone line isnt actually that bad, - seems to have improved slightly
ip profile is still at 250 though...
ive only had a phone line through plus.net for 2 weeks aswell!
