Re: Shockingly slow internet speeds.

I have the same problem and logged it several weeks ago, I noticed an e-mail stating that if I needed an engineer home visit I would be charged.  I logged on to facebook and tried a video clip and IT WORKED no buffering!  Unfortunately last weekend I tried to view STV player and was back to 0.18 Mbps download and 0.95Mbps upload.  I too am in Scotland but am not a big internet user but want reliability when I do use it.

Re: Shockingly slow internet speeds.

Your line has had quite a few disconnections since Sunday:

I noticed an e-mail stating that if I needed an engineer home visit I would be charged.

The engineer charge is if the fault is caused by your setup, wiring, a test you haven't performed that we asked etc. It's not a charge that's levied every time.

If you pick up a phone handset and dial 17070 is there any noise on the line at all?
