I keep getting random spikes of lag, lasting between 2 and 10 seconds, whilst gaming. When I ping Google I with 4 packets during one of these spikes, 1 or more packets will return within a normal period of time (30-40ms) and the rest will either take a few seconds or be lost. It's hard to say how long these lag spikes last as it normally disconnects me from the game, but it's definitely more than a few minutes. Browsing is slowed but mostly uninterrupted.
I am running Plusnet non-fibre broadband with no download limits and a linespeed of up to 14MB/s; when I run a speedtest I usually get 11-13MB/s.
