As some will know, we switched from ADSL to ADSL2+ last week.
Old speed was between 6.6 and 7 meg.
The new speed was estimated to be 17 meg.
It's coming up to a week into the 10 day training period and speeds don't go higher that 12.5 meg at the moment.
The router has been disconnected a few times due to power going off at our house and I hope this has not had an impact on the "training".
Should it increase more by the end of the 10 days? I was kind of hoping for near to 17 meg seeing as our connection has been rock solid in the past.
Router stats at present -
Link Information
Uptime:1 day, 9:39:11
DSL Type:G.992.5 annex A
Bandwidth (Up/Down) [kbps/kbps]:1,019 / 16,559
Data Transferred (Sent/Received) [kB/kB]:0.00 / 0.00
Output Power (Up/Down) [dBm]:11.5 / 0.0
Line Attenuation (Up/Down) [dB]:8.5 / 23.5
SN Margin (Up/Down) [dB]:7.5 / 7.0
Vendor ID (Local/Remote):TMMB / IFTN
Loss of Framing (Local/Remote):9 / 0
Loss of Signal (Local/Remote):1 / 0
Loss of Power (Local/Remote):0 / 0
Loss of Link (Remote):0
Error Seconds (Local/Remote):97 / 0
FEC Errors (Up/Down):NA / 0
CRC Errors (Up/Down):NA / 4,422
HEC Errors (Up/Down):0 / 3,227
Thanks
Paul.

Your stats look OK to me. If downstream noise (SN) Margin is reliably at or above 7dB during daylight hours I'd be tempted to try restarting the router (once). Disconnect from Plusnet first on the router Home page, then click Thomson Gateway and select "Restart my Thomson Gateway" on the Pick a task… list.
It takes a couple of minutes to restart, and connection to the router will be lost for a while towards the end of the process. After re-syncing it should reconnect to Plusnet automatically. Hopefully you'll see a small increase in sync speed.

Thanks for the replies.
Just to keep you up to date on it, I decided to see if the extension cable I was using might of caused some issues. And it certainly did!
I have connected the router to the main socket without any extensions and I am now getting 16meg download and just over 1meg upload!
Just need to get a longer ethernet cable now to connect it to my main PC.
Cheers
Paul.

Glad to hear it. Extension cables are notorious for causing this kind of issue.
