Profile mismatch?

This evening I noticed my connection seemed to be a little slow so I did a speed test and got around 450K  - which is about a quarter my norm.  I checked the router and O was synched at around 500 so promptly did a reboot.
My synch is now 2700 and my line profile according to PlusNet is 2500 - both my normal settings.  But a speed test from BT shows the following:-

454 Kbps

0 Kbps 500 Kbps
Max Achievable Speed
Download speedachieved during the test was - 454 Kbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 50-500 Kbps.

My BT profile appears capped at 500K - can anything be done about this?  After all - I've just syncjed at 2700 and PlusNet tests give me a min of 2000 and a current profile of 2500

Unfortunately not - it will take a few days for the BT value to increase.
It looks as though the Plusnet value hasn't picked up the low value yet - but it will
