Hi
I am upgrading to fibre on 25th and could not find the email that would tell me predicted speeds, so had a search about and used the line speedchecker. Currently I get around 3.5MB download speed and this tallies with what the linecheker estimates. On upgrade to the Fibre Essentials package it is predicting 14MB download max. This seems some way off the 38MB potentially available in this package.
Is this a consequence of my distance from the cabinet?
Guess will find out for sure some time after Friday

Hi again,
We'd not be able to look at figures such as line length (for the copper section which is the main determining factor on this) until the service is installed but as hinted that may be the reason for the predicted speeds for yourself.

Thanks Adam. Will see what it settles down to then, but am hoping for better than predicted.
