Possible replacement for the Plusnet TG582N
OK, maybe not but it looks like a serious bit of kit. May be designated as the TG589Bvn?
First Technicolor I have seen with gigabit LAN ports. Supports ADSL2+, VDSL2 and fibre connections.
Also hardware acceleration to cope with FTTH speeds.
The only other reference I have been able to find for it is for UPnP certification.

Plusnet won't buy it if the price over £80. U might have to order yourself instead. I did asked Plusnet to have Netgear DGND3700v2 wireless router as a default stock but they say it too expensive over £80.

I notice the product was originally announced on 4 October 2012, so I guess it is not likely to come to PN as there has been no mention of it previously on these forums....

Please don't misquote me. I said that if we were to change to these routers then the cost of the service would increase. http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,118664.msg1028706.html#msg1028706

Some ISPs offer a choice of (better/nicer) routers at extra cost, I know this might involve (a little) additional staff training but could this be a possibility for Plusnet?

I don't think it is even in the market yet.
The last UPnP certification was dated August 2013. That's where I guessed the model number from.
I'm guessing Plusnet may be thinking of offering the 589vn v3 from what has been posted on here previously. That would cope with ADSL and self install VDSL.
It probably wouldn't make much sense to offer the 589Bvn. It looks like it will be much more expensive than the current offerings.
I can't imagine many new signups would choose to pay £80 plus for a router over the £5.95 'free' offering. Especially as Plusnet are fighting in the low cost' broadband market place.
If I were looking to spend that kind of money I would want to choose a product specific to my requirements.

The router might have 4x4 600Mbps at 5GHz, but that won't help much if your devices don't support 4 streams (at 5Ghz).
You can browse the various technicolor models here, there are various ac models (note that their site puts FTTC VDSL2 under xDSL, not fiber):
