We had a power cut in the storms and high winds of 23 Dec here in the south of England. Power was off for only about 45 minutes. When it was on again the (Plusnet) router started up again quite quickly and the mobile phone wifi was up again.
But when I started up the PC again (a desktop) there was no internet (I have a wired connection to the PC) despite the router working fine with the mobile. I had to start the PC again to regain connection. Not that it matters now but I just wondered why I didn't have connection wired, but OK wifi after that.
