Re: Postini Email Security Trial

I've rung in and the people looking after the Postini trial have gone home for the night - so unless several more people report problems it will not get looked at until the morning.
IMPORTANT: If emails are failing to arrive please raise a ticket at https://portal.plus.net/wizard/?helpheader=helpassistant# - don't rely on the fact that we have reported it or it won't get looked at until the morning

Re: Postini Email Security Trial

@John
Just tried another hotmail send to username.co.uk and username.force9.co.uk.
Both came in quickly, the first via Postini, the second via criticalpath01
followed shortly after by the missing email from an hour ago. Huh

Re: Postini Email Security Trial

Hmmm... I tried another one from Google just before 10pm and it bounced exactly the same way.
I'll try again.

Re: Postini Email Security Trial

Now this is interesting - I've been doing some digging.
ns1.force9.net has the mx records I'd expect for  username.plus.com as does ns2.force9.net
212.159.6.9 still has mx.core and mx.last
212.159.6.10 has postini
212.159.13.49 still has mx.core and mx.last
212.159.13.50 still has mx.core and mx.last
That won't be helping matters!
Does anyone know what DNS servers the mxcore/mxlast mail servers use?

Re: Postini Email Security Trial

OK - Stupidly (and I never do this!) I left my laptop at work today which means keeping in the loop on the progress of the callout is a bit hard.
I've kicked things off within the CSC though and they will be escalating the problem, so hopefully someone can figure out whats changed and get it sorted tonight. Although it's a trial, we can't just leave bouncing email till the morning!

@jelv #95
Just returned to this topic so problem may be sorted.  My first test email from gmail at 10:59 arrived via postini and criticalpath with no problems and no delay.  My second just now also from gmail at 23:26 similarly arrived via postini and criticalpath with no problems.
bobp
the delay between the gmail test and posting was to read Ian's #114.  There was no delay in recieving the gmail

Re: Postini Email Security Trial

I'm still getting mail through on my domains (at a rough guess my mail is half username.plus.net and half through my domains).
I've just received the first spam which has come through Postini. I can't see anything in the headers that says that Postini thought it was spam and DSPAM pronounced it innocent as well.
Here is the full source of the email (my address edited out and the URL in the body removed):

Assuming you have a hosted domain, have you sent test emails to both something@username.plus.com and something@mydomain.co.uk?
