Re: Portal problems?

Just checked again and everything is working fine for me including accessing the members centre.  Thanks to PN for getting things up and running again.

Re: Portal problems?

It might be worth clearing your cache and cookies as it's let me log in fine both from here and from home.
If that doesn't work try rebooting, and if no joy with that let me know as that'll mean we still have a problem...
Hope that helps,

Re: Portal problems?

Seems to be the browser. Can get in on IE, but not on Firefox - on both computers. The second computer hasn't been on since yesterday.
Have tried clearing the cache on this one, and restarting the browser, but no joy.

Re: Portal problems?

There's some mighty queer things going on!
Five minutes ago, I got into the member Centre (via the links on this thread into Webmail. From the log-out page, I took the link back to the member centre and logged in.)
I now can't get the front page (which I could before), nor can I get into the Help pages - I'm told  403 Forbidden "You don't have permission to access /support/ on this server."
What on earth......??????

Re: Portal problems?

I am using Firefox and have just made all the jumps that you are complaining about.
But, up till now if I went from a Member centre login to the Home page, it asked me to log in again, now it doesnt, thats better. Smiley Wink Cool

Re: Portal problems?

I came in via the back door..... logged into PlusNet User Group site and found a link on there (regarding the problems on logging in) to get into this forum !
http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,65250.msg523283.html#msg523283
Sneaky, but it worked...... the Plusnet index pages are not working..... there is a holding page stating that plusnet home page is not available, due to maintainance. and giving a phone number....

Just been back there, and it seems to be working again.... only took as long as it did to type this ! ! !..
Oh well... have bookmarked the above link "just in case" it goes away....

Re: Portal problems?

Hello, back again.... was typing away on another thread, when suddenly the whole thing just disappeared.  Went to google, plusnet, member centre, and the maintainance page is back on again (that was about 5 mins ago. (now 20:10)
came back here via my "back door" as above...

Re: Portal problems?

It does seem to exceptionally extreme to take down the entire portal on a Bank Holiday Monday.
Isn't there a Backup/Recovery plan?

Re: Portal problems?

All fine here. Maybe us in Sheffield are hard wired into PN's systems. Wink

Re: Portal problems?

Working fine on a BT RIN connection where I am too.
I'll check with CSC and see if others are still having difficulties.
Edit. Just checked with Matt and CSC manager and there are no reported difficulties right now. Customers are managing to log in and raise tickets etc as normal so short of browser issues since the outage I'm all out of ideas.
We'll continue to monitor the situation.

Re: Portal problems?

@fatdeeman
What browser are you using?
If it's IE try pressing Ctrl+F5. That should clear the local cache and refresh the page.
(IIRC, it's the same in Firefox)
