Poor wifi speed / droppage

Ok so we bought Plusnet 12/3/19 and it said we have to wait a 10 day period for the router to "settle" on the first 2 days the WiFi wouldn't turn on at all but after that since now the WiFi has been so slow, it says we should get up to at least 10mbps but we have about 0.8, it's been 12 days and it's still terrible
