Poor upstream sync

My line has been quite stable recently syncing at about 3Mbps down with a 9dB margin. Upstream sync is normally 448Kbps. In the last few days I have experienced quite a few resyncs, mainly overnight, but speeds have been maintained. This morning I noticed that upstream sync had dropped to 192Kbps, downstream 3.168 Mbps. I forced a resync which brought it back to 448Kbps but this was only held for a few minutes before dropping back again. I can't hear any noise on the phone line.
Openreach cleared a fault earlier this year, did a thorough line test and declared the line OK. Nothing has changed in the house wiring and the fact that most resyncs have been overnight tends to rule out local interference.
Is it worth raising a ticket at this stage or should I wait and see if things improve?

Hi there,
I've just run a line test which shows a possible issue, I've performed an SNR reset which will hopefully resolve the issue within a couple of hours, please come back to us if not.
Adam

Thanks Adam
No sign of the line reset having happened yet, still 3168 down, 192 up, 9dB SNR. I'll check it again in an hour or so.

Hi Adam
There was a re-sync overnight at about 00:45 but no change in speeds. Still 192KBps up and 3168Kbps down, 9dB SNR.

Hi HughA,
The SNR reset doesn't of seem to of done the trick. You have been having a few disconnections that may of banded your profile.

If you haven't been doing these disconnections yourself then I would suggest raising a fault at http://fault.plus.net and complete the diagnostic questions, this will also raise the fault formally with us.
If you need further assistance please ask.
Chris

Hi Chris
To be honest I don't think the reset actually happened as my SNR is still on 9dB which suits my line best. There was another disconnect at about 13:30 and this has restored my upstream to 448Kbps with the downstream still at 3136Kbps, 9dB SNR. This is about as much as my line can support so I think there is little point in raising a fault at the moment. Upstream throughput is back to 388Kbps so I don't think any banding has taken place. I'll see if the line is stable over the next few days.
Thanks
HughA

Well the improvement didn't last, upstream is down to 256Kbps now, downstream still OK at 3136Kbps.

I can see your upload speed is fluctuating but can see no reason why at the moment. I'd certainly suggest raising a fault at http://faults.plus.net so our faults team can have a look at this for you.
