Poor upload speed

I've recently just moved into a new build house and moved my service, I'm still in the 10 day period but getting poor upload of 0.4mbps, and potentially some packet loss from what people are telling me I sound like through VoIP services. Also having trouble with online gaming, I expected to be getting a better connection moving from an apartment building to a house 😔

What does the BT Number checker say for you?

Re: Poor upload speed

Attached a screenshot but it says up to 1 so I guess what I'm getting is in an acceptable range. Just thought I'd be able to get fibre this close to Manchester city centre but seems like Openreach aren't even considering it yet so at least a couple of years out. My 4g here gives me better speeds 😞

Re: Poor upload speed

it is possible that the upstream is capped at about 446kb/s - can you check the stats from the router

Re: Poor upload speed

Router page says up bandwidth is 443 kbps so that sounds like it's capped at 443?

Re: Poor upload speed

indeed it does - you could try Chat to get it uncapped

basically your order was placed incorrectly
