Poor upload speed

Hi
I migrated to Plusnet recently from VM "National"
Since connecting my upload sync rate has gone down to 5mb / 448kbit
I've noticed also I'm now on G.DMT
Is there a normal reason for this? My line distance is quite long (3.3km / 47dB attenuation) but I could always get 6mb / 1mb before migration.

Re: Poor upload speed

The first thing to check is whether your exchange is 21CN enabled
Check here http://usertools.plus.net/exchanges/

Re: Poor upload speed

Thanks very much.
From that site:
BT have advised that this exchange is enabled for WBC on 21CN

Re: Poor upload speed

In that case it looks like you have been provided on the wrong product.
It's possible the Digital Care team will pick this up and run with it, but probably not before Monday.

Re: Poor upload speed

@Chris - the OP says he is on G.DMT which means he has been provided on an ADSL Max product, not ADSL 2+. Presumably just uncapping the upstream in those circumstances would change him to Max Premium, with the cost implications of that.

Re: Poor upload speed

It's on a 21cn connection, just the product is ADSL1 which allows us to uncap the upstream without max premium.

Re: Poor upload speed

Actually given his sync rate I recommend a move to ADSL2+ - I have no idea why he was provisioned on ADSL1
