Poor noise stability since ADSL2+

My noise margin (SNR) used to be rock solid at 6dB ± 0.1 dB but since moving to ADSL2+ it seems to be all over the place, drifting up and down from hour to hour and with the occasional step function change (whilst the connection is maintained) - see attached chart.  Either the new equipment is a bit iffy or something is going on at higher frequencies (i.e. those only used by ADSL2+).  Is there anything I can do to get to the bottom of this and achieve greater stability?

Re: Poor noise stability since ADSL2+

Oh, well I tracked down that change to my wife switching on her computer - switching it off again produced the step up.  So I guess part of the problem is mains-borne interference.
