Poor network quality with Reolink camera

Hi

Not sure if I'm in the right section but hopefully someone can direct me.

I am using a Sagemcom Plusnet Hub, had no problems previously but have just installed a Reolink Argus 2 wireless camera and it constantly displays "Due to poor network quality please tap here to switch the paying mode". Have contacted Reolink who advised me to move the camera closer to my router!!

Do I need to change to a more powerful router or do I need some type of extender?

Any advice would be grateful received.

Hi @FrintonFogey, I'd recommend following the steps here: https://community.plus.net/t5/Plusnet-Blogs/How-to-boost-your-wi-fi/ba-p/1450193, to ensure your Wi-Fi is performing at it's best capability to handle this. Let me know if this makes any difference and if not we can look at further steps for you.

Thanks for reply and the recommendations, I did not realise there are multiple wifi channels to choose from!

I have now ordered a BT Wi-Fi Extender 1200 so hopefully that will improve things, I will let you know.
