Poor fibre performance

Hi, had Plusnet fibre installed a week ago.
Thought I would give it time to 'settle' before I contacted you but I am getting quite poor results.
Both me and my son play on Xbox live and at times it can be very 'jumpy'.
Also streaming on Sky go can be a bit dodgy by losing picture quality and sometimes it is like watching a 'stop go' movie.
I have done various Speed tests in the last week and it ranges from 6Mbps to 36Mbps down speeds but on all tests the speed graph seems very erratic, is this normal?
I am on the unlimited package and speeds should be up to 76Mbps.
Thanks
Wayne

Re: Poor fibre performance

Hi Oldjim, yes they are all wireless. Just did a wired test and it is around 50Mbps but more importantly the speed graph seems a lot more stable. Could it be a router issue or is it just a problem with wireless?

Re: Poor fibre performance

Hi Wayne,
It certainly seems to be a wireless issues that you're experiencing, I'd suggest trying to change your channel of your router, use this guide, it may also be worth trying inSSIDer to determine which channel is best to use.
Let us know how you get on.
Chris
