Poor WiFi on the TG582n?

Hi all,
Just curious to see if anyone else has been having issues with poor WiFi?
It seems to me that the signal indicator is showing 4-5 bars though I cant load any webpages!
Wish Plusnet would roll out some newer routers to cope with thicker walls and maintain a decent connection Sad
..... or do Plusnet supply any other router?
Cheers all!

Just read some of the comments on here about the router. Most of us find it useless wrt wifi.

Wish something could be done!
Still a lot better than my previous Netgear DGN1000!
Hopefully Plusnet will invest in something like this; http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B008NUOEA6/ref=as_li_qf_sp_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1634&creative=...
Thanks for the reply!

If you've got 4 or 5 bars, then that's not a poor signal?

Signal itself can be good, however the throughput can be %*$^. I personally gave up on the built-in wifi on first day. I highly doubt it can ever achieve better throughput than most people's FTT* connection which does make it somewhat useless.

True; Although how can I load webpages in one room but not in the other? Through a wall? The signal shows these bars although fails on loading anything.

^ Exactly my issue.. Sad
I now have a router spitting out 70+Mbps but cant do anything with it in the other room:')

Have you tried to change your wireless channel?

Replacements:
If you can get hold of one a HH3 is a good router. I use a Netgear N300 and others recommend Asus' but they are quite expensive.

I will probably go for the newer, HH4 that I have just seen advertised, keeping up to date! Wink

IF you can get one, unlikely 2nd hand. HH3's are available on ebay/freecycle etc.

Re: Poor WiFi on the TG582n?

Hopefully I shouldn't have to buy a new one just yet, knowing my luck I will purchase one and PN will roll out something better xD 'Sods Law'
Thanks all,
