Re: Plusnet router take 2

Thanks for those.
It looks as though the DLM (Dynamic Line Management) is doing it's job. For each drop, it looks as though the DLM is lowering your speeds to try and find the right balance with stability and speed. Once you've got the replacement router connected, I can remove this to see how you fair out.

Re: Plusnet router take 2

New router arrived and up and running. New filters fitted. Phone is quiet so far.  I'll let you know if I have any more problems.
Thanks for your help.

Re: Plusnet router take 2

Chris although my brodband is working I am not sure if there is something wrong.  According to my NEW router logs it is synching every hour.  I have doe some speed test and the meter is all over the place.  Speed starts low, below 1000kbs and shoots up. Some times to unbelievable speeds.  See below.

Re: Plusnet router take 2

Hi,
This looks like a resynch every 2-3 mins rather than every hour!
Can you please post the router stas - SNRM and attenuations please.

Not sure what you need.
I think I have found the issue is related to Chrome on my Mac. Gone back to Safari. But there again now doing it in Safari.

Re: Plusnet router take 2

New router connected. Ok for a while but now I am getting numerous drop outs. Tried a BTHomeHub 4 which improved speed slightly but still noise on line and still dropping out. Particularly noticeable when I make or receive phone calls. Crackling on line comes and goes. I still think this is related to the thunder storm we had here.  The pole/DP I am off had several other phone line faults according to my neighbours.
Do I need to raise a fault.
