Way back when (a few years ago) I ordered ADSL2+ from Plusnet, all was fine (and continues to be) except at provision time it was wrongly provisioned as ADSL rather than ADSL2+.
This was quickly rectified following a post on this forum:
My question is since moving to ADSL2+ I have always synced in the 9000 to 10000 range, but my line speed reported at:
https://portal.plus.net/my.html?action=data_transfer_speed has always shown Estimated line speed:There's no speed estimate currently held on your account. Current line speed: 7.15 Mb
The BT BRAS profile for the connection seems to be fine (as found on the BT Speedtester)
My question is: Is that 7.15 Mb speed setting a hangover from the mis-provision of the service as ADSL rather than ADSL2+
My speed tests seem to max out at the 7 Mb sort of speed so I do seem to be hitting that limit.
Thanks in advance,
Sorry to hear this.
