PlusNet's Sister Companies

Hi PlusNet Teem
Wouldent it be better for you to integrate the sister companies in to PlusNet, so that you can save money & at the same time ofere more services to your customers, for example better web hosting.
If you integrated Madasafish in to PlusNet, you would have 1 less platform to maintain, plus 1 less portal to maintain, plus easier to comply with the Disability Discrimination Act for example!
I think that it is a win, win for you!  Don't you think so?  Wink

Re: PlusNet's Sister Companies

You really think they haven't thought of that  Wink
What was your real question? The DDA one?
Not applicable

Re: PlusNet's Sister Companies

Its a sensible suggestion, but you have to remember that PNs systems run on largely self-coded software (workplace)
As its not an industry standard solution, you'd expect it to take a fair bit of work to pull the two together, if that was the aim.
The website is just a tiny part of the whole system, but as it integrates so tightly with everything else, its not as simple as ditching one, and using the other.
If they were to do such a thing, you'd expect it to be done in stages - for example doing the billing platform in one go, then perhaps the hosting platform and so on...

No, the real question is as clear as day.

Gary,
We're fully aware of your concerns.  To say that we haven't thought about it hard enough with no prior knowledge of the situation is a touch on the silly side.

That is your opinion & you are entitled to it.

I'm not jumping to any conclusions.
We're aware of the benefits of brand consolidation and if we were to be doing so then we would announce it.

Re: PlusNet's Sister Companies

Are these companies owned by BT? If so it's not up to PN to consolidate the businesses but BT. Or am I missing something Huh

Re: PlusNet's Sister Companies

Interesting, I would have thought that this would have devalued Madasafish et. al. if they are integrated into PN.

Re: PlusNet's Sister Companies

Gary, be careful what you wish for. Following your logic the next step would be to fully integrate Plusnet into BT and make further savings.  I for one would not wish that to happen.
