I'd be interested to see how a mini fits me (I'm 6' 1"). I drive a Megane and in this weather I knock the wipers off with my right knee Angry
I'll have a sit in the drivers seat when I next see her Smiley

Re: PlusNet as a car?

Thanks for the input everyone - and the classic car stories 🙂
It's tempting to just go for the obvious and best car on the market so I've found the comments about the Yaris and then the quality elements of Japanese cars to be really interesting.
If anyone's reading and has more opinion, do comment either here or on the blog.

(Strat - I'm 6ft and there's plenty of space in the new mini 🙂 )

How are you sat?
I'm 5'11 and drive a Megane without my knees even coming close to the stalks.
I tend to have the seat raised up, quite far back, with steering column extended. Sometimes I get bored and lower the seat instead - the joys of sitting in traffic with levers to fiddle with!
I'd have thought it would be possible to achieve something similar? (Having said that, mine has the auto wipers on it, so I only ever need to move the control down one 'click' and then the car takes care of the speed of the wipers)

Re: PlusNet as a car?

I could compare it to my (rather old) Rover Montego Diesel. It keeps going, cost effectively at the moment (fingers, legs and everything else crossed, touching lots of wood etc), however hard you bash it Smiley Wink
