Re: Please post evidence of postini false positives here

Everything looks as expected in those headers - it's a DSPAM error which we don't need in this topic.
Postini is 100% certain it is spam - Plusnet have recognised that and added the X-pn-pstn: Spam 2.
DSPAM has got it totally wrong and it's not tagged. When tagging is changed to use Postini this message would be tagged.

Re: Please post evidence of postini false positives here

On the other hand, I've just found this one, which was treated the same way as p-p's but is in fact a perfectly genuine email....  (And I've been lying on other threads that I haven't had any false positives from Postini Embarrassed because DSPAM hid it from me.)

How about spam@postini.plus.com and notspam@postini.plus.com - that account name is free at present.

I was thinking more along the lines of spam@spamtraining.plus.com.no.spam and notspam@spamtraining.plus.com.no.spam (obvious munging aside). Using 'Postini' is all well and good but I don't suspect that would mean all that much to the average punter (The spamtraining username isn't available as I registered it myself some time ago for assistance training Dspam).
Any further suggestions welcome.

It shouldn't do if my understanding is correct. Will chase this tomorrow.

Re: Please post evidence of postini false positives here

I think these two are false positives - perhaps they will help ?
Have seen a reduction in SPAM with Postini although I am still getting a few SPAM emails that do not seem to have gone via Postini - should this still be happening or should all of my emails go through Postini?
Anyway I hope the following headers help.
Keep up the good work

Re: Please post evidence of postini false positives here

@Adam  You still have DSPAM turned on. It's a good idea to turn it off and let Postini do all the work as many others have done.
You will still get spam bypassing Postini and targeted directly at mx.core and mx.last until these are blocked.

Re: Please post evidence of postini false positives here

Not sure about that! If as Bob suggested the Postini tagging is introduced tomorrow I'm pretty sure that you will need to have the Spam checking switched on for it to activate on your account. So I think I'll proably be advising everyone to turn it back on tomorrow. Is it worth it for one day? Of course if the Postini tagging is delayed...

Re: Please post evidence of postini false positives here

It's a wait and see thing then Undecided
The 'tomorrow' bit may not be accurate as it depends on when the account was transferred to Postini as you said.
...anyway we'll see what tomorrow brings.

Re: Please post evidence of postini false positives here

Now that is an interesting point!
If tagging is switched from DSPAM to Postini on an account that was moved less than 7 days ago so the mx.core/mx.last block is not yet in place, would any spam checking be applied to spam that came in the backdoor via mx.core/mx.last?

I don't know if this is classed as a false positive as it was white listed but still says spam 2.

It shouldn't do if my understanding is correct. Will chase this tomorrow.
Edit: Problem (ID 49346) raised.

This will be sorted tomorrow morning before the subject line tagging is enabled.

Re: Please post evidence of postini false positives here

Bob,
i have probably missed this one but with the Postini subject tagging what will go into the spam folder and what are the Postini trigger levels for Spam1 and Spam2

I'm sorry to say I think they've got this badly wrong. Based on the spam I've received recently only 80-85% of the spam will be given a X-pn-pstn: Spam 1 header and the subject line tagged with [-SPAM-].
