Ah,  that does not help. Well best of luck with it then.

What is the router stats sample interval please?

Re: Phone Line issue. Not sure what's causing the issue that appeared a few days ago.

Something seems to have happened when I was asleep. The line seems to have gone back to normal at the moment with no noise. Someone mentioned to me that there was a tiny bit of crackling this morning but that was before two BT Vans were at the exchange doing something during this morning/afternoon.

I haven't opened the fault ticket up again unless I see noise fluctuations again today or in the morning. I don't want to have another Enginner mess around with the line if it's possibly been fixed.

Re: Phone Line issue. Not sure what's causing the issue that appeared a few days ago.

At 8 seconds 900 points per page or 10 seconds 720 points per page  both giving a nice round 2hrs per graph would be best.  As you think it's fixed,  can you post a daytime SNRM graph please.

Edit: Getting a line with intermittent problems fixed is a trial at the best of times. Getting a line fault fixed on just a broadband fault is fraught with difficulty. You need to take every opportunity to raise or restart a line fault at the slightest sound of noise, as do your neighbours at the same time. Several faults reported at the same time is far more likely to get Openreach to investigate and fix the problem properly, not just test your line and say it's fine just because the test at that instant didn't see a fault.

And don't assume that just because you see Openreach vans at the exchange that they are looking at a fault you had, they could be on a completely different job.

It's strange that you are connecting at exactly the same speed as last time with the Asus. Disappointing that it's not better.
Can you post a RouterStats daytime SNRM graph?

The first graph has been consistant with the noise of 3-4dB which went from 12:00 to 20:14. The second graph is where there was a disconnect with the noise reaching minus 1dB and six minutes later returning to 3-4dB.

Seems like I need to reopen that fault then if it's still disconnecting in random intervals. Though I have noticed that it went back to 3-4dB instead or reaching a lot higher when it reconnects. What do you think? Reopen the fault?

Re: Phone Line issue. Not sure what's causing the issue that appeared a few days ago.

Well that certainly shows things still are not right. Now, a reminder that unless you can hear some audible noise on the line - and if you can, make a right song and dance about it (not mentioning Broadband) or unless the line is showing a fault on test, you won't get anywhere with your line provider (BT) just for a BB issue. So try the on-line automated test that BT have for phone lines for line rental customers to see if it finds a fault, also if you can hear noise then chase it up.

Remember if your neighbours are still having issues and they can hear noise get them to report phone faults to their providers asap.

Re: Phone Line issue. Not sure what's causing the issue that appeared a few days ago.

It's been fairly consistant as of right now with the noise between 3-4dB. WAN went down for five minutes at 8:53AM which unfortunately I went to bed 6:00AM and didn't record as a result.

I guess tommorow I'll wake up at 8:00AM and record it. If nothing happens I think this issue has been resolved.

What does a today's RouterStats daytime SNRM graph look like?

Just for the record, this post summarises how things went forward. No other real need to add to this thread.
