Penbridge Exchange upgrade

My local exchange (Pembridge) has recently upgraded to Fibre. I am the last and most distant user on this line. I have seen BT type persons installing new telephone posts in my locale (one right by my house) and I asked what they were for. The reply was that they were going to install fibre overhead, not via a cabinet, and we local residents would be able to get overhead supplied Fibre in the near future. I want to know if PN would be able to supply me with Fibre if and when the new line is installed, or whether i would have to go to another ISP at the time?

@jjaycee1

Assuming the fibre being installed is going to be for FTTP (Fibre to the home) then Plusnet are able to supply it.

You must be an existing Plusnet ADSL customer then when the FTTP becomes available to order at http://www.dslchecker.bt.com/ then you can apply to join the Plusnet FTTP trial at http://trials.plus.net/

The DSLchecker for your phone number should show this for you to be able to order FTTP

Featured Products

Downstream Line Rate(Mbps)

Upstream Line Rate(Mbps)

Downstream Range(Mbps)

WBC FTTP Availability Date

WBC FTTP Up to 330 Up to 30 -- Available

The FTTP trial offers two products 80Mbps/20Mbps or 40Mbps/2Mbps at the same price as the matching FTTC products.

Also if you do go with Plusnet, they do not supply Plusnet TV to FTTP customers, just in case you wanted it.

If you want to go to faster speeds then it is either BT Retail or Zen Business Products.
