Re: Peak time slow down

I'm on the worle exchange (SSWOR) though have been told by openreach that there is no issues with the line or REIN issues but something to do with a virtual path (VP)

Re: Peak time slow down

Yeah that's congestion.
We've got the same thing here on the Scarborough exchange. Just a case of waiting until BTW/OR decide to fix it ( add/enable more capacity ) I'm afraid  Sad

Re: Peak time slow down

@jamesanstee
Thanks for doing the speed test. Please don't do any more tonight though I'm going to use that result tomorrow when I speak to the escalation owner.
I will be in touch tomorrow to let you know what action I am looking to take.

Re: Peak time slow down

Virtual Paths (or Pipes) are the multi-user routes from the DSLAM/MSAN at the exchange into BTs network. A bit like slip roads onto a motorway. Being multi-user they are a potential source of congestion.

Re: Peak time slow down

Just to update on my peak time slowdown BT Openreach (Number 3) has been to check line and is now in the process of doing a lift and shift fingers crossed this will solve the issue but will need to allow a few days for it to settle back in .
