Payment taken for domain renewal - Please dont renew!!!

Just got an email from PN showing payment for £52.88 for a further 2yr domain renewal
I dont want this domain renewed can you please cancel the renewal immediately and release the domain name?

Was it selected to be renewed under domain names on the portal?

Thanks for the replies. I had not made a selection and have not received any emails advising that it is coming up for renewal, first email I received after I was charged

It also says something weird in the portal

Your hosting for domain, www.whatever.co.uk is set to expire on 2007-02-24

Whats that about?

Hi there,
Unless the domain renewal option is set to 'No' it would automatically be renewed and you would be charged the renewal fee.
With regards the hosting date, this is a display issue in our system, which has been raised as a problem internally.

Quick question for you, did you just change the renewal option to no, or was this like this before the payment was taken?
(I'm looking into cancelling the registration and organising a refund, and will be in touch shortly)

You are an absolute diamond and this is what puts PN above the rest.
As soon as I saw the email I checked the domain settings and I had not made a choice, I selected the renewal option after I had been billed

Believe it or not that's a good thing, as it means the automated process is working as it should.
We won't be renewing the domain, and a refund is winging it's way to ya, you'll see confirmation of this on your account shortly.

If you do not want to lose the domain registration, please consider renewing through our subsidiary company, just-the-name.co.uk. They specialise in domains, and are therefore able to offer a two year renewal for only £9.99. I can arrange the transfer internally should you wish to proceed.

Thanks for the offer, in this instance I actually do want to lose the domain, its not used. I will certainly keep your offer in mind for one of the others I have!
