Hi all,
I am experiencing a problem with web pages not fully loading correctly.
For example, I use metcheck for weather and it loads about 3/4 and then just doesn't fully load up the small images. If I hit F5 it will load up OK until I view another days weather. This problem applies to other sites.
I use Firefox but have also tried IE7, both indicate the same issue.
I have the Windows Firewall disabled and the firewall on the router set to high.
I am using Win XP Home
3Com Office Connect 54MBPS ADSL Wireless Modem Router - wires rather than wireless.
Any ideas..?

Hi Woody,
Do you have more than one computer there? If so, do you know if the same thing is happening on more than one computer?
This can often be caused by the MTU size being set incorrectly on your router or workstation. I would advise setting this to 1430 on both your router and your computer. You can do this by downloading DR.TCP:
http://www.dslreports.com/drtcp
Let me know if you need any help.

Many thanks for your quick reply.
I only have the one PC at home so unfortunately cannot try that route.
I was looking at another thread which linked to that site whilst searching for similar problems, I will take a look this evening when I return home.
Cheers.

James,
I have changed the MTU to 1430 and just ran the test, this is what I get;
1. Your Tweakable Settings
Receive Window (RWIN): 65535
Window Scaling: off
Path MTU Discovery: ON
RFC1323 Window Scaling: OFF
RFC1323 Time Stamping: OFF
Selective Acks: ON
MSS requested: 1390
TTL: unknown
TTL remaining: 122
TOS flags: none set
2. Test Download
Actual data bytes sent: 1028171
Actual data packets: 741
Max packet sent (MTU): 1430
Max packet recd (MTU): 1430
Retransmitted packets: 3
sacks you sent: 44
pushed data pkts: 51
data transmit time: 5.259 secs
our max idletime: 310.8 ms
transfer rate: 173093 bytes/sec
transfer rate: 1384 kbits/sec
transfer efficiency: 99%
I still get pages not fully loading or just not loading at all.
Cheers.
