Packet Loss on FTTC Connection

My FTTC has been active for 10 days.  The first 4-5 days I saw very little packet loss, but towards the end of day 5 it began and has slowly gotten worse:

Since that time, DLM has kicked-in a few times to reduce my sync, increased my ping (interleaving) but still the packet loss persists at levels higher than ever:

Given the line was stable initially, I'm not sure that DLM dropping the speed and increasing the error correction and noise margins is the real solution here.  When I get back to the UK I'll run a quiet line test and see if there is audible noise/interference.  If so, I'll raise a voice fault.  If not, I may raise a broadband fault to have the line tested.
Unlike some of the botched installs I read about, I'm perfectly happy that the Openreach Engineer did a good job; he identified and removed the star-wired extension installed by Sky and migrated my old ADSLv1.0 face plate to a regular NTE5 with the VDSL2 interstitial adapter.  My wife even commented that the line sounded clearer than it had previously.

Re: Packet Loss on FTTC Connection

Hi there,
We'll just need to get to the bottom of what ever's causing these disconnections so yes do raise a fault after you've been able to test the landline:

Re: Packet Loss on FTTC Connection

The quiet line test found no noise.  I'm seeing bursts of 100% packet loss lasting 2-3 seconds every minute-or-so, with real-time apps like Facetime taking 10-20 seconds to recover making them close to unusable. The TBB monitor indicates this happens 24x7.
Ticket #68919525 raised.
Thanks!

Re: Packet Loss on FTTC Connection

At the very start of the 24 hour test period my line re-synched and came back at around 50Mbps (based on BRAS data rate).  Since then it has been working perfectly, and the test completed showing no errors.
No idea what was going-on, but happy that it's resolved!  I just hope this won't be a recurring issue: else I may find myself asking for a quote to install FTTPoD!
