PPPoE vanished off my line?

Hi All,

I've been a plusnet customer for years and for years I've used the same configuration, a modem in bridge mode (Bipac 8800N) and a mikrotik router as a PPPoE client. I actually have 3 different DSL connections into the house with 3 different ISPs and all have been working swimmingly for years.

As of Tuesday, on my plusnet line (the other two ISPs still working fine), suddenly PPPoE does not work. I've tried 2 different modems, even put the billion into regular router mode and tried PPPoE but it will not authenticate.

If I set the billion to be in PPPoA it all works fine.

Has anyone else experienced this? Clearly BT or Plusnet have changed configuration somewhere on Tuesday but I can't seem to get a proper answer from plusnet on it.

Thanks in advance

Re: PPPoE vanished off my line?

It doesn't matter whether PPPoE or PPPoA is used.

Re: PPPoE vanished off my line?

It shouldn't do, but I can tell you PPPoE does not work as of Tuesday, PPPoA does Smiley
