PN profile changed, BT hasn't?

Tests from BT speedtest
Quote
Download speedachieved during the test was - 5200 Kbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speedsis 600-7150 Kbps.
Additional Information:
Your DSL Connection Rate :6458 Kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 974 Kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 6215 Kbps
The throughput of Best Efforts (BE) classes achieved during the test is - 16.02:25.67:58.31 (SBE:NBE:PBE)
These figures represent the ratio while sententiously passing Sub BE, Normal BE and Priority BE marked traffic.

This hasn't changed in days but for some reason my PN profile was set to 6000 and now dropped to 5500 for no reason that I can see.
Anyone think of any reason why this might be?
Cheers...

Re: PN profile changed, BT hasn't?

The correct IP Profile for a 6458kbps sync is 5500kbps, the value shown in the Member Centre.
The value of 6215kbps shown by the BT speed-test doesn't exist (it has to be 5000, 5500, 6000, …), so I assume it's rubbish. BT must have sent the correct value to PN. The actual download speed achieved (5200kbps) suggests BT also think the Profile is 5500kbps despite what is tabulated.
