Re: PN problems ?

Regarding the gateway checker, you can try http://usertools.plus.net/@gateway/?debug-ip or http://usertools.plus.net/@gateway_custom/?debug-ip if the debug mode complains that your IP isn't from Plusnet, which it just did with my 46.208.X.X IP address.

Re: PN problems ?

So it looks like the gateway checker site doesn't work because the necessary hop in the route doesn't respond to the traceroute probes (in the direction inbound to you).
For the gateways it works on, the output looks like:
[tt]Array
(
    [0] =>  1  vl50.peh-asr03.plus.net (84.92.0.73)  0.433 ms
    [1] =>  2  po3.3659.peh-cr02.plus.net (84.93.232.38)  2.530 ms
    [2] =>  3  84-93-232-60 (84.93.232.60)  9.339 ms
    [3] =>  4  ae3.ptw-cr01.plus.net (195.166.129.32)  11.093 ms
    [4] =>  5  te8-5.ptn-gw01.plus.net (212.159.0.113)  9.471 ms
    [5] =>  6  link-a-central10.ptn-ag02.plus.net (212.159.2.133)  12.345 ms
    [6] =>  7  *
    [7] =>  8  *
    [8] =>  9  *
)
[/tt]
You are currently connected to gateway ptn-ag02.

Re: PN problems ?

In the middle of rearranging / adding cabeling
After removing the ADSL cable for approx 2 minutes
Again using http://usertools.plus.net/@gateway/?debug-ip , I am not with PN

However with http://usertools.plus.net/@gateway_custom/?debug-ip , I am now back with PN

Re: PN problems ?

Which router you use, and whether the router has an issue will have absolutely no bearing whatsoever on whether the gateway checker fails to report your gateway. That will be purely down to the checker itself and PLusnet setting up the correct rDNS entries for new gateways.
