Re: PN - major service incident

Interestingly, BT have a similar looking glitch on their services as do TalkTalk.

There's my day of work down the drain. Thanks Plusnet.
Any sort of timescale yet for when they are going to fix it?

Why on earth are you subscribing to a "cheap as chips" domestic broadband supplier if you are using it for essential work?
You should be using a business grade supplier with defined SLA's and umpteen backup plans if BB is essential to you for whatever reason - and yes you will pay a lot for it.

Plusnet sell business services...
Regardless of business or personal several hours of downtime is poor from Plusnet.

Re: PN - major service incident

Having to post using neighbour's reliable and faster broadband.
Service status states "Our engineers have resolved the problem and customers should now be able to re-establish a connection."
Apparently not where I live (Staffordshire Moorlands) so not able to connect.
It's ridiculous when a customer has to use their neighbour's broadband to find out why PN is down and to obtain tech. support number then to hear a message to not call them!

Re: PN - major service incident

I think i have the same problem. When i click "connect" it says connection failed, or ask me to log in to getaway again, but don't connect. I checked my connectivity on the router and it says no PPP, connection currently down. No light at all for internet on the router, not even the red light.

Re: PN - major service incident

When mine came back up I had to re-enter my password, click 'Internet' to the left of the 'Connect' button and enter it there.

Re: PN - major service incident

When i try to connect on the router, it says "connection could not be established : Authentification failed". I am trying to connect with ssid name and key number, is that correct?

Re: PN - major service incident

Still down here in Hampshire and been down since 10.00am  Sad  No amount of re-entering ID and password works.
Have had to get a mobile router to get online.

Re: PN - major service incident

I desperately needed my internet for my College work today. Ironically my PN connection is working but my College system has gone down and has been down all day  Grin

Re: PN - major service incident

Is there a phone number I can call to check status when my internet connection goes down .... phoned customer services and a recording suggested visiting their web site, impossible for me.

Re: PN - major service incident

Hi everyone,
If you're still not online please turn your router off for a full hour and try again.
@Resistor240v I've checked your connection it looks like stale session, powering down for 60 minutes should fix this for you.
