Outlook 2007 - Error 550

Hi,
I'm having some issues around sending emails using Outlook 2007.
I've setup my accounts and can receive emails fine into Outlook, but each time I send an email I get the following:
'Send test e-mail message:  The server responded: 550 relay not permitted'
Any ideas.....? The error msg apparently relates to a missing Mailbox....
I've noticed theres been some work done on email and the status is Amber - could this have an impact?

Hi Simon,
I'd suspect that you're using the wrong SMTP (outgoing email) server for that account.
Mind sharing your server settings with us?  Also, let us know which ISP you're connecting to at that time.

I hope you don't mind but I have hidden your email address.
As your email address isn't a Plusnet one can you confirm that you are currently connected via Plusnet

Hi,
I'm not connected via PlusNet at the moment - using internet connection at work - could this be the problem?
The domain is registered via PlusNet.

Yes - that login only works from your Plusnet connection.
if you want to send from your works connection you would need to change the outgoing mail server to that required by your works account

Or you could click the 'More Settings' button and select the option to use a username and password for your outgoing mail. The username would be 'sbullough' along with the default password for your account.
