OR modem wan port speed?

Do the OR modems for FTTC have a 1000mb wan link?
Just bought a nice new router that supports 1000mb and on the wan port.
Also while I'm already asking, whats the max speed for a FTTC connections?

Re: OR modem wan port speed?

I believe it is a Gigabit port.
Max speed currently is <80Mb but they are looking at 120Mb soon.

120Mb would that be on FTTC or is that reserved for FTTP.

FTTC they are "looking into it" according to a report I read a few weeks ago. Probably later in the year though.

Modem on profile 30a (up to 200Mbps) can only support 100Mbps max  - 'cos that is its max even though it will sync OK on profile 30a

Asus RT-N56U Havn't had a chance to fully play with it but its a really nice router. It can host its own cloud service that can be used on phones and stuff. I dont use any of that but its full of toys like that. VPN also, so lan games with friends over the internet...

Re: OR modem wan port speed?

Wow, yes £80 well spent. This router kicks ass.
The things this router can do.....

You can download torrents with just the router, host the files on a ftp server also on the router. You can then setup a media center or a cloud server and stream your downloads to your mobile, tablet, laptop or anything that is connected to the internet or your home network. All with just the router connected to my connection ofc.
So many more things this router can do but thats just amazing dont you think?
