@arichards Screenshots would be good, then we can all see them, and I'm still interested.😉

Re: No network from 2am to 5pm

Have you looked at the logs in the viewer?

Are there any obvious error messages (you may have to check the various sections)?  Some errors will be normal, but if you find a block of them then that could be relevant.

Re: No network from 2am to 5pm

It makes no sense to me.

There are 13 sub categories with pages of data even though I started it 10 mins before and after no network !!

What do you need screenshots of ?

Re: No network from 2am to 5pm

Thanks for the logs - but there is nothing of any concern showing - except to note that you had connection to the internet from the start to the end of them - so I'm wondering if somewhere you (or someone else with access to your router) has set it to deny access to your device(s) foam 0200 to 0500?

Re: No network from 2am to 5pm

@feedtalefive We know all that, and we have already discounted the possibility of a timed restriction at router level - note this still happened on the first night of a new router installation.

Ideally just the bit that shows what the problem is 😉

More seriously, it will probably take a bit of digging. Are there any errors in the Events section?

If not look in the Timeline, if possible find the point at which access stops - there are probably errors or timeouts showing there.

@arichards , so, as we have kind of thought - not really time related. Do you live near any large electrical installations?

Re: No network from 2am to 5pm

Just read through this interesting post.
Looking at it I have these thoughts...
1. A village in Wales had internet problems caused by a faulty (old) TV.
Any equipment localy that timed or switched on by a neighbour.
2. Is there a pc on the home network that is infected by a virus/malware or being used as part of a botnet.
3. Are there any unexpected devices showing up in wifi connections. Thw WPS login is easy to crack - the new router could have been comprimised within minuites of going live.
4. The BB has inherited an IP address that belonged to a different customer. That customers IP address was (and still is) on the reciving end of DDOS attack or was part of a botnet.
5 The IP address is on a SPAM blocklist
6. Severe interferance from a neighbours router.

Re: No network from 2am to 5pm

Thanks for popping in @Bogbody - the more minds on the case the better.😉. To answer your thoughts:

1. Hadn't thought of that, but it is a possibility.

2. AIUI the OP has only a phone/tablet and TV on the network - see earlier posts.

3.See above - I've only ever seen 2 devices.

4.I would have thought the IP would have changed, given the number of times the router(s) have been connected/disconnected.

5. As 4

6. At that time, and only that time, in an early morning?
