New to Plusnet Pro. Slow speeds.

Hi all,
I recently moved to Plusnet from O2 access and signed up to the pro package. I then raised a ticket  31458007  about my Broadband speed on the 7th Jan. My estimated line speed was 8 and current line speed is 7150 according to plusnet. BT speedtests have similar results but download speed has never been above 2000-2500. When I was with O2 I used to achive speeds of 5500 - 6000!
I've made 4 calls to the helpline over the past few weeks but I seem to be getting nowhere with my problem and the last update to my ticket was on Mon 18th which said "Swanpro have confirmed VP is not running hot. Please continue investigations" Can anyone help?
Thanks in advance
Chris

Re: New to Plusnet Pro. Slow speeds.

What is your BT IP profile when you run the BT speedtest?

Re: New to Plusnet Pro. Slow speeds.

What do PN have your IP profile set to?  You can find out here (login required).
PN's profile *should* match BT's  - if it doesn't then that's where your problem lies and you'll need to raise a ticket or phone to get them to realign the profiles (or PM one of the PN staff on here).
Normally the PN profile follows BT's within a few hours but it can occasionally get stuck!

Re: New to Plusnet Pro. Slow speeds.

You need to run the BT speedtest and post the full result here
You need to go into your router web page and post your router stats which include your att and snr figures and you need to go here https://portal.plus.net/my.html?action=data_transfer_speed and see what profile pn have set for your line to see if it's stuck

current line speed is 7150 according to plusnet

I took from this that his plus net IP profile was 7150?

I'm not sure if this is the right router info or not?

The exchange isn't showing as red: http://usertools.plus.net/exchanges/?exchange=Culcheth&exact=274&plugin=vp
Another example of http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,81831.0.html ?

Re: New to Plusnet Pro. Slow speeds.

Are there any staff on here that can help me with this problem and give me an update as my speed has dropped again over the weekend!
My ticket 31458007 hasn't been updated for over a week now. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

Re: New to Plusnet Pro. Slow speeds.

....I guess not then  Sad
I've just spoken to a BT engineer who is working down the road and he told me that because I live so close to the exchange (less 800m) that I should be getting far better speeds than I do.
He also said to ask Plusnet to request a BT call out?
It seems a little pointless being signed up to Plusnet PRO at the moment.

Re: New to Plusnet Pro. Slow speeds.

..Just had the BT engineer round to check my line. He did all the tests and said I should be easily getting 6000-7000 Kbps download speed, that my line was fine and Plusnet must be throttling my speeds!
Once he's filed his report I'll see what Plusnet have to say although I don't know why I even bothered signing up to the Pro package for 2000-2500 speeds ( on the good days! )
Enough of the lies I guess it's MAC time for me  Sad
