New router?

I've pretty much given up on getting a response to this thread from earlier http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,99666.0.html
I suspect my problems may be (in part) router based. Any suggestions what to go for as the V8 doesn't seem up to it for my needs?
Alternatively, if Plusnet would like to try sending me a V7 to try first...
