Given the other threads started today, this looks like a familiar theme!
The phone line went live early this morning, but no joy with ADSL. It syncs, but authentication fails. I've double-checked the name/password. Router log is full of these lines every 5–10 seconds:
Jan 1 05:47:17 daemon warn kernel: netdev path : pppoa0 -> atm0
Jan 1 05:47:17 daemon err syslog: pppd:Couldn't increase MTU to 1500
Jan 1 05:47:17 daemon crit syslog: PPP LCP UP.
Jan 1 05:47:18 daemon err syslog: pppd:CHAP authentication failed
Jan 1 05:47:18 daemon err syslog: pppd:Couldn't increase MTU to 1500
Jan 1 05:47:18 daemon err syslog: User name and password authentication failed.
