Hi - just for info it looks like North Yorkshire (rural) exchange have been put onto the list.
http://www.openreach.co.uk/orpg/home/products/super-fastfibreaccess/downloads/sffa_exchange_lists/fu...
One question my our exchange is down for FTTC but currently we go straight into the exchange would they put a cabinet into the exchange or a new one in the village?
Thanks

Hi there,
If you're not already connected to a cabinet it's unlikely that a new one would be installed. Unfortunately if that is the case you'd only be able to get FTTP if it becomes available in your area rather than FTTC.

Hi Matt, it is a small rural exchange which serves a small village of 40 houses / 634 total in the surround area . But today the exchange has gone to FTTC by close of play 2014 which is a real bonus - so just wondering if FTTC is possible when there are no cabinets I presume it would be something like this http://www.ispreview.co.uk/index.php/2012/06/bt-preps-new-uk-superfast-broadband-cabinets-for-exchan...

Well it could be possible, though it does look like those trials are in very early stages. It'd be great if they did, but as things stand I'm afraid FTTC - fibre to the cabinet - is not possible to install if there isn't a cabinet there to install it to
