New Router

On Friday, my Billion router gave up and failed on me. I've ordered a new Netgear one and while I'm waiting for it to come, I'm using an old Binatone broadband modem. The downstream rate is about 1300 which is lower than I was getting on the Billion. I'm presuming that when I connect my new router I'll have to go through the 10 days retraining? Am I correct?

Re: New Router

No, the 10 day training period is only for new adsl connections. It may be that your older router is more susceptible to noise and interference in which case your line profile (and therefore speed) may drop slightly, but this should pick up again shortly after you reconnect your new equipment.
Hope that helps,

Re: New Router

Nope. The 10 day training only happens when you first get switched to ADSL Max.
