New Customer, Poor Speed

Hello Plusnet.
Can you have a look at my service please?
I'm getting half the speed my old ISP provided when I lived much further from the exchange in a top floor flat with ancient phone wiring.

Hi elgriffalo,
I've just ran a line check and your sync rate is 5264k. I would expect more from your line. If you can have a look here and follow the checks to see if your connection rate (not speed) improves we can take it from there.

Hi Jojo.
Thankfully this isn't my first broadband connection so I have confirmed the following according to your link;
Master BT socket in use.
Microfilter attached & a different microfilter tried in its place.
No landline telephones in the house at all & nothing else plugged in to any phone socket.
Router connected via LAN cable to PC.
No wireless adapters in use at all.
Router reboot.
Speed now showing 4,943kbps.
