Hello. I am after some advise after reading some reviews on the Technicolour router. Would I be better off sticking with my Netgear router or using the Technicolour? Please help Smiley

If you are happy with your existing one use it and keep the other as a spare

I can't really advise which is better but in general I prefer the Netgear GUI and the fact that you can do more, easier, through it than with the TG582n.
Also the ability to control WIFI access is much easier and better with the Netgear
The only reason I changed from my DG834G v4 was that it broke

Re: Netgear DG834n Rangemax or Technicolor TG582n. Which to use?

I have a DG834PN ('Rangemax') and it works very well for me.  It's only foible is that it occasionally hangs the wired connections but I have found I can overcome this by using a wireless connection to change the IP address range then change it back.  Restarting the router also works but I don't like to do that if it can be avoided.
I find the user interface on this and other Netgear routers particularly good and the wireless range is fine.  I never asked Plusnet to supply a router as I never saw the need.
