Netgear DG834 and VPN

Hi
I've been running a VPN across a pair of DG834's for a while.  I thought I'd try out the DGteam firmware, however it doesn't seem to be able to connect to the VPN with the standard DG firmware at the remote end.  I can't upgrade the remote end, as it's remote.
Has anyone successfully used DGteam at one end to DG firmware at the other end of the VPN?

I've never been able to get the DG Team VPN working, regardless of what was on the other end.
If you manage to secure anything other than abuse and snearing from the people on their forum, let me know, but you probably won't get on their forum now unless you already have access as it gone invite only and my ID appears to have been deleted.
I'm likely to migrate away from DGTeam soon as the arrogance of the guy that runs it is just too much.
