Need help with my hacked HomeHub

Hey
A few weeks ago I downgraded the firmware on an old HomeHub so I could use it as a backup router or repeater or something on another ISP (Plusnet).  BTW I can dig out the guide for doing it if anyone is interested.
All went as planned, and it seemed to be working fine.  I tested it for the first time on my new Plusnet connection last night, however, during the 'Setup' it kept timing out.  It never said 'couldn't connect' or anything like that.  I would have thought it would work with Plusnet because it's basically a Thomson router with version 7G firmware I think.  Also I had to hard reset it because it changed the admin pasword and I couldn't remember it (it wasn't default).
Has anyone got an old HomeHub working on Plusnet?  Why would it keep timing out on Speedtouch Setup Wizard?
Thanks

Re: Need help with my hacked HomeHub

Hi Superhans,
You may wish to see what other replies yo get but I just wanted to mention from a support point of view that its normally a firmware issue when the setup wizard hangs like that. I would try another hard reset of the router then failing that maybe flash the firmware again.
If you don't have any joy at all we can offer you a brand new Thomson T585 (version 7) free on a 12 month deferred contract (meaning that you would pay the full cost of the router if you left within that period) you would just need to pay £4.99 postage and packing and we can get one to you within a couple of days.

Re: Need help with my hacked HomeHub

Thanks Adam,
I tried a hard reset to no avail.  It doesn't matter though.  I only wanted the HomeHub as a backup, I have a Linksys WAG160N that I use now.
