I was going to suggest that as an option.
What are the response times like via Telnet?

...and at present?
I'm wondering if you try a telnet login if you'll get told that all the sessions are in use.  RS can leave telnet sessions in a bit of a pickle!

Re: My TG582n just got itself in a tizzy after about 46 days running

nope straight in
That particular problem was fixed some time ago after I reported it on the Routerstats forums
Actually that wasn't a fair test as the warm restart will have cleared everything

Re: My TG582n just got itself in a tizzy after about 46 days running

Just had another kernel warm restart (much better speed) but it took about 9 minutes to authenticate
Is that my router or did something glitch

There was an outage at approximately 1:11pm, which may have affected the authentication side of things?

Certainly dumped me off for about a quarter of an hour. Refused to authenticate for at least 10 minutes.  Sad

Just had another kernel warm

Hi Jim,
I see those too from time to time.  For no apparent reason the router just decides to up sticks and start again.
have you noted any pattern to this?  So much for you not wanting to bounce your router earlier this week!  Roll_eyes

Not really - it seems to be totally random
