It can take a few days for your IP Profile to appear on there.

Re: My Fibre is now activated

Isn't the 'default' PN profile 78Mb not 77.4?

Telephone number:
  ***********
Phone exchange:
   CUCKOO OAK
Estimated line speed:
79Mb (Download speed could vary depending on line conditions. Estimates are the maximum speeds that your phone line can support. These speeds are dependent on the package you choose.) - Checked on 2014-02-13 23:00:09
Current line speed:
   77.4 Mb
All my mates (on plusnet fibre unlimited still on default 78Mb as their profile never change since activated) but last night one drop from 78Mb to 77.4Mb

Re: My Fibre is now activated

As I understand it the IP Profile is calculated from the sync speed by dividing by 1.033 so a sync speed of 80Mbps translates to an IP profile of 77.44Mbps which gives a Plusnet figure of 77.4Mbps

Re: My Fibre is now activated

Glad to hear it pretty good. I can see that noise margin is pretty more roomy for any crosstalk in future.
I hooked up with BT Home Hub 5 so far no issues.

Re: My Fibre is now activated

This made me remember the effect cross talk had on my own service.
As the 1st connection on the cabinet:
Line rate (kbit/s) 79987
Downstream Upstream
Attainable rate (kbit/s) 98020 29421
SNR margin (dB) 11.2 15.1
Line attenuation (dB) 0 0
Output power (dBmV) 14 7
191 additional connections later
Line rate (kbit/s) 79891
Downstream Upstream
Attainable rate (kbit/s) 74432 22856
SNR margin (dB) 4.5 13.6
Line attenuation (dB) 0 0
Output power (dBmV) 14.2 7.1
Obviously areas where Virgin Media is available alongside decent ADSL uptake will be considerably lower and slower than unviable areas like this one  Smiley
